Inflection Shuò is a limited edition of 50 watches created in collaboration with Massena LAB, featuring exquisitely hand-finished, Swiss-made dials crafted in solid 18k gold. Each dial is decorated with hand tremblage, one of the most demanding decorative techniques in watchmaking, and combines custom Arabic numerals with hand-calligraphed Chinese numerals in a California-dial-inspired layout. The watch is housed in a 99.9% pure tantalum case and integrated bracelet, and powered by a fully customised Girard-Perregaux GP03300 automatic movement, extensively decorated with Chinese-inspired motifs and premium hand-finishing.

We accept returns within 14 days of receipt of the watch, provided it is in perfect condition and includes all
accessories, accompanying documentation, and the original protective film.
For Limited Edition & Pre-Order Watches
Our 14-day return policy does not apply to our Limited Editions or Pre-Order runs. All sales and deposits for
Limited Edition runs and pre-orders are final and non-refundable.
Accessories
Accessories (such as straps, bracelets etc) are considered consumables and are not eligible for returns. All
accessory sales are final once shipped and cannot be returned.

Order Process
Inflection 烁 (Shuò) launches with an extremely limited production capacity of 50 pieces across both variants. Allocations will be determined through an application process which will be reviewed internally, with delivery starting from January 2027.

Deposit
Selected applicants will be granted an allocation once the initial 50% deposit is placed for the variant of their choice - subject to availability.
Payment terms
Payment will be divided into two parts; the initial 50% deposit, and the final payment of 50% in line with the watch delivery. Orders are expected to be dispatched starting from January 2027 in small batches, until April 2027.

The most ambitious dial we have ever created
The Atelier Wen x Massena LAB collaboration is built around a single ambition: to create a dial that pushes
artisanal craftsmanship as far as possible.
Crafted from solid 18k gold (14.59g for the Rose Gold variant and 14.66g for the White Gold variant), every dial
combines two of the rarest decorative arts in watchmaking: hand-executed tremblage and hand engraving. Together,
they transform a precious metal into a surface of extraordinary texture, depth, and character.
The choice of gold is not merely symbolic. Its softness allows the delicate tremblage and engraving to achieve a
richness and sharpness that would be impossible in harder base metals.
Everything has been pushed to the limit. The material. The techniques. The artisans. Every detail exists for one
purpose: to create a dial unlike anything we have produced before.
A california dial, reimagined
The engraved numerals follow a California-style layout, pairing Arabic numerals with Chinese numerals to
create a dialogue between two visual traditions.
Rather than relying on existing typefaces, the Arabic numerals were custom-designed by William Massena, while
the Chinese characters were specially calligraphed by a Hong Kong calligrapher for this collection.
Each numeral is then engraved entirely by hand, giving every marker a subtle individuality that machine
production can never replicate.
More than decoration, the dial reflects the collaboration itself: two minds, two cultures, and two distinct
design philosophies brought together in a single composition.
Executed by masters of their craft
The dials for both variants are crafted from solid 18k gold, with the base plate finished using one of the
rarest and most demanding decorative crafts in watchmaking: hand tremblage.
Using a hand-held graver, the artisan continuously oscillates the tool across the gold, carving thousands of
tiny, irregular facets entirely by hand. Every square millimetre is individually worked, often requiring
several days to complete a single dial.
The process is unforgiving. A single misplaced movement cannot be corrected and can mean starting the entire
dial again. The result is a surface that fragments light into a soft, shimmering texture that continually
changes on the wrist.
For this collaboration, the tremblage is executed entirely by hand by engraving specialist Coralie Mercier on
behalf of GT Cadrans, bringing the dial to the highest standards of decorative watchmaking.
A remarkable foundation for an extraordinary dial
The Atelier Wen x Massena LAB collaboration builds upon the foundations of Inflection, the world's first
permanent collection of integrated bracelet watches crafted entirely from 99.9% pure tantalum.
Chosen for its enigmatic blue-grey hue, exceptional corrosion resistance, and notorious difficulty to machine,
tantalum remains one of the rarest metals in contemporary watchmaking. Its remarkable properties demand an
equally remarkable execution, brought to life through an intricate interplay of brushed, frosted, and
mirror-polished finishes across the case and bracelet.
Inflection 烁 (Shuò) builds from architecture further elevating this challenge. Free from exposed flat
surfaces, its flowing concave and convex forms were designed to capture and amplify the metal's natural sheen,
creating a constantly changing play of light that complements the artistry of the dial.
An iconic movement from one of Switzerland’s oldest manufactures
Beneath the exceptional artistry of the dial sits a movement worthy of it. Inflection 烁 (Shuò) is powered by
a customised GP03300 calibre from Girard-Perregaux, one of Switzerland's oldest and most esteemed haute
horlogerie manufacturers. Girard-Perregaux's technical pedigree and capabilities in high-end finishing made
them the ideal choice for the new series. It marks Atelier Wen's first exploration of such degrees of high-end
finishing and movement decoration, and enables the brand to take a vital step towards its goal of creating
increasingly exceptional watches on every level.
The curved, sweeping lines and contours of the customised GP03300 bridges, inspired by motifs of wind in
historical Chinese paintings, were designed by Atelier Wen's designer Alfred Chan, alongside Sidoine
Lescauville and the Girard-Perregaux technical team. These elements are a symbolic reflection of lightness
that stands in deliberate contrast to the immense weight of the material, and represents the achievement that
Atelier Wen has realised through our work with tantalum. The bridges are ruthenium-plated and decorated with
dramatic anglage, sharp exterior angles and laser-etched waved côtes that emanate radially from the centre of
the movement. They are complemented by black-polished screws, and a similarly wind-inspired rotor that has
been plated in 5N rose gold.
